to FreeRateUpdate.com research of wholesale mortgage lender's rate sheets.
FreeRateUpdate.com says conforming mortgage rates have been the same for almost
a month now since rising a 1/4 percent in 1 day.
Jumbo mortgage rates have improved lately as lender's
continue to offer jumbo mortgages at interest rates closer to conforming
mortgages. FreeRateUpdate.com says Ditech mortgage is offering a jumbo 5/1
ARM at 4.375 percent, historically low for a jumbo mortgage rate.
FreeRateUpdate.com has also launched a local mortgage rate search in a
partnership with Informa Research Services in which visitors can search mortgage
rates by zip code, program type, loan amount and more without giving any
personal information.
15 year fixed mortgage rates are as low as 4.25 percent. 5/1 ARM rates are as
low as 3.75 percent.
